When Detroit Bikes was rolling out their initial batch of bikes, the A, B, and C Type models, they needed a top-tube badge that had a classic but simple art deco feel.
With their Cortello model, they were looking for something a bit more contemporary and ‘Cortello’ as I was told is an Italian slang word for a ‘knife’. (Let me know if that’s true or not).
