Brothers Nate and Aaron from Houghton Era started their company from their love of the outdoors and family. Drawing inspiration from their great uncle, a Michigan botanist and avid outdoorsman, they wanted their logo to be from the type of goldenrod their great uncle discovered in the 1800s.
